Out Lunch

Hester and beyond (with a limit).

By Eva Bell

Another year has begun and the awesome policy of Out Lunch at MS 131 lives on.  During Out Lunch, 7th and 8th grade students are allowed to go to nearby restaurants, get lunch and hang out with friends. Sixth graders will begin soon. This is really cool because we are able to go outside, get food and learn more about the neighborhood.  Not only that, we are able to make new friends and help each other out.

Some places we go for Out Lunch are the Corner Store, Anda Cafe, Popeyes, Hester Pizza, Highline Deli, and Spicy Village. Out Lunch is better than staying inside because we have more freedom than just staying inside the cafeteria.  We get to try different restaurants and we also get to walk around the park and the field. I think that Out Lunch is one of the best new policies that Mr. Geballe, our principal, has instituted at our school.
